Our little home is in the centre of town.
This has benefits as well as drawbacks.
It's convenient for shops, the market take aways and the bus stop for work.
It's also down the road from the conveniences - but not down wind!
It takes a couple of minutes to get to one of the local supermarkets, and 5 mins to get to the other.
It's a well known cut through from one to the other as well so a lot of people pass by our front door during the day (and gawp in through the window).
There is no view of countryside, just a brickwall and upstairs looks over a space where someone leaves his 2 caravans, an old car and a broken down tractor.
Yet a short waddle from the house we're by the river bank, and a place for feeding ducks.
So weighing up the pros and cons - the pros come out on top.
And above all, the chips are always piping hot when we get them home!

You seem settled and very happy. That's great. xxx
